Research On The Building Integration And Upgrading Of Industrial Chain

With the development of economic globalization and division of labor, the specialization of industrial production is gradually deepening. The economic and technological ties within and between industries are closer. The competition is beyond enterprises and is no longer a"point"competition, but more and more depends on the industrial chain where enterprises integrate as a system. Developing industrial chain has become an important measure to improve enterprises'competitiveness and advance economic development. In the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" China also mentioned to promote high-tech industry chain's construction and development several times. Moreover, in order to enhance competitiveness, more and more enterprises start to attach importance to the industrial chain. It has become an important trend to build the industrial chain and enhance its competitiveness.In view of the practice of industrial chain and based on the existing studies, this paper, first of all, reviews the origin of the industrial chain's concept and determines its meaning, characteristics and so on. At the same time, we use the historical method to analyze industrial chain's level structure, and combine with the non-linear characteristics of the industrial chain to analyze its temporal evolution, in order to make the foundation for further study.Secondly, the industrial chain is made up of enterprises through a variety of economic and technological ties. Therefore, Institutional Economics, Relationship theory and Industrial Organization provide the theoretical foundation of the industrial chain. With the development of technological innovation and market system, the building model of industrial chain has been evolving. And the enterprises constitute an organic system through the communication and co-ordination mechanism and the distribution mechanism. Meanwhile, each enterprise in the industrial chain plays different role, and we use horizontal and vertical comparative analysis to study the industrial chain deeply. Moreover, we build assessment index system and use gray clustering method to further identify the importance of various sectors. And for the weak links of the industrial chain, we provide a comprehensive integration with points, lines, face and nets to increase the operating efficiency of the industrial chain.Once again, in order to further enhance the competitiveness of the industrial chain and promote the economic development, from the industrial chain perspective, the paper analyses the paths of industrial upgrading, namely, the endogenous development, the transition of the main links, as well as the path embedded in the global industrial chain. On the whole, in order to achieve sustainable development, the three paths must be based on the independent innovation.Finally, the paper makes an empirical analysis about the automobile industry chain, and from a historical point of view analyses its evolution. Taking Chinese automobile industry chain as an example, we analyze the relevance among the major links in the chain through the measurement method and gray clustering evaluation and then have an empirical research on integration and upgrading of Chinese automobile industry. And then for the government-led development of Chinese automobile industry, we provide some policy recommendations.
