Research On Competitiveness Evaluation Of Logistics Industry Cluster Based On The Modified GEM Model

With the rapid development of modern economy,the modern logistics industry develops rapidly in the world, which is known as the third profit. The level of development of logistics industry becomes an important symbol of the economic strength for a country or region. Modern logistics is based on modern transportation industry, information technology and the modern manufacturing industry.It makes informatization, systematization, storage information into an integrated comprehensive industry. Now, the study of logistics industrial cluster stays at an primary exploring stage. The study of the competitiveness of the logistics industrial cluster of Anhui Province has great significance for promoting the development of the logistics industry and economic of Anhui Province.The paper is based on logistic industry cluster competitiveness theories. And firstly, it defines the logistics industry and logistics industrial cluster. Combining the characteristics of the logistics industrial cluster competitiveness, it defines the connotation of the logistics industrial cluster competitiveness. Then, through the analysis of the logistics industrial cluster competitiveness factors and the principles of the index system, this paper builds logistics industry cluster competitiveness index system, which includes resources, facilities, government, business market and innovation. Finally, through the collection the data of six provinces in central and the calculation by SPSS software, this paper uses the principal component analysis method to evaluate the competitiveness of logistics industry cluster of Anhui Province and makes a comparison with the six provinces in central. The result of the empirical analysis is that the logistics industry cluster competitiveness of Anhui Province is weak among the six provinces in central. And it has problems such as lack of high-end logistics personnel,fragility public infrastructure and insufficient demand. The logistics industry cluster of Anhui Province also has not yet formed integration system of logistics service. To solve these problems,this paper puts forward some recommendations,such as actively introducing talents and enhancing the level of logistics service,accelerating the construction of public infrastructure and perfecting the management mechanism of the logistics industry.
