With a network covering Guangdong Province as well as other major cities in otherprovinces, the C Company’s road transport business has been one of the largest in theChina market. However, in the recent years, due to the rise of railway services andindustry development, we have seen a decline in the company’s turnover and profit.To solve this problem, a research has been conducted and a solution is proposed. Inthis essay, it firstly gives an analysis of the policies adopted by other companies inresponse to the changes within the industry, followed by a summary of the strategicopinions of a number of industrial experts. Based on this information, the advantageand disadvantage of the existing network structure is analyzed, and a solution isproposed according to the C Company’s operational environment.As the decline is commonly seen in the road transport industry, this research can befurther developed to provide the industry with a sustainable guideline. |
