A Research On College Library To Participate In The Location Of Public Culture Services

With the development of information society, the public’s demand for knowledge is growing. The college library has a great advantage in terms of literature resources, human resources and network technology. It creates enabling environment for the social service of college library. It proves that the social service of college library has been overwhelming. Therefore, with meeting the teaching and researching, the college library need to develop the college library of social services which is becoming a fastgrowing area of concern and discussion among researchers.Firstly the product of college library is used to explain that being a quasi-public goods with the theory of public goods. It is necessary and feasible in participating in local public culture service. Secondly it obtains first-hand information by using questionnaires and personal interviews. The research analyzes the exiting problems of college library social service by analyzing the data and using Quanzhou Normal University Library as an example. Then from the perspective of public product, the research discusses various factors that restrain the social service of college library. At last, the successful experience of social service of foreign college libraries is used as a case to formulate specific policies from the government, schools and libraries. The research can effectively solve the problem of the social service of college library and promote the college libraries to participate in the construction of public cultural services.
