There are so many similarities among China, India and South Korea in their geographical locations, history and cultural traditions etc., meanwhile they are obvious different among their political and economic systems. They are the countries that develop rapidly economically in Asia, which has a strong impact on the prosperity and stability of the whole world. As the trend of globalization and world integration, the internationalization process of China, India and South Korea is speeding in politics, economy and culture etc. Meanwhile, the internationalization trend of scientific research has become more evident, and there is fierce competition among countries. So it is necessary and feasible to cooperate. International scientific cooperation, as an important method of research, is a significant power of development of science. International co-authored papers is an important form and approach to international cooperation. Research on international co-authorship could discover the patterns and rules, problems and advantages and disadvantages of co-authorship, and be helpful to the progress of co-authors and collaboration. It also a key of the governments’ policy in their scientific research. Hence, it is important to study and compare the international co-authors among China, India and South Korea.Bibliometric analysis and social network analysis are applied to this article to compare their circumstance and network of library and information field, to further the study in their current situation and the strengths and weaknesses, to summarize the disadvantages, and finally to offer proposals to the existing problems. There are five chapters in the essay. Part one and two are the basic overviews, part three are about the fundamental situation, co-author rate, co-author degrees, co-author frequency and quantities by bibliometric analysis and clear the similarities and differences. The whole network, network structure and network node are compared and summarized by social network analysis, which is the part four. The last, it is a summary and thought of the entire study with the emphasis on the existing problems of Chinese international co-authors and its solutions. Raising the awareness of co-authors, being supportive when make policies, broadening the communicative channels and improving the modes of collaboration are the exact solutions.
