A Study On The History Of China's International Communication From 1976 To 2001

A study on China's International Communication is significant to China's peaceful rising. In the second half of 20th century, especially in the last 20 years, China's National Strategy targets on enriching the state and unstopped rising, focuses on enhancing the state comprehensive strength, takes the path of economic diplomacy, regionalism and global-community integration. China's International Communication, as part of the social system, and a component of China's National Strategy, plays an important role in creating a good China's Image around the world to help achieve the goal designed by China's National Strategy.This dissertation studies the history of China's International Communication from 1976 to 2001. Seeing from the perspective of China's National Strategy, it explores not only the correlation of China's International Communication with the social system, but also the correlation among the components of China's International Communication itself. It tries to present a multi-dimensional picture of China's International Communication from the aspects of China's International Communication policy, China's International Communication undertaking, China's International Communication operation, and China's International Communication conception.Innovations of the research:1. Taking China's National Strategy as the macroscopic study background. Enough stress is not laid on the correlation of China's International Communication with the social system in the existing related research. This research makes efforts to explore from the perspective of China's National Strategy, the driving force for changes in China's International Communication.2. Probing stereoscopically into the correlation among the components of China's International Communication. The existing related research stresses too much on China's International Communication undertaking, but comparatively neglects the correlation among the policy, undertaking, operation and conception. This research intends to dig out the correlation and interaction among the components, taking a bird-view of the whole system of China's International Communication.3. Analyzing China's International Communication Policy. This effort makes up to some extent, a deficiency in the existing related research.China's International Communication policy focuses successively on "adjustment", "reform and development", and "promoting competence".
