Study On The University Library Website Information Architecture Based On Information Ecology

Website information architecture is that people optimize and reorganize the network information resources in the context of the internet. It’s also an effective means to ensure the benign development of the information. The university library website is the service platform of modern university library’s internal and external communication and an important window for developing the online information service. Therefore, it’s very important for the university library website information architecture. In view of the heterogeneousness of the information type and the individuality required of the user, information architecture theory provides a new guiding ideology for university library website construction. University library website information architecture guided by information ecology makes the concept of green ecology infiltrate the university library website construction on the basis of the university library website in a systematic, holistic and ecological as the research angle, which changes the "user-centered" concept existed in the past information architecture and mainly study the user and the environment, content and environment, especially the interactions between user and content to achieve the dynamic balance of the website information resources system. Therefore, it bears important theoretical and realistic significance to study university library website information architecture systematically from the angle of information ecology.At first, this paper reviews and analyses the theory of university library website information architecture and information ecology, and expounds the relationship between them in detail. Secondly, the author investigated domestic 9 "211 project" universities and 20 regular universities library website information architecture through the online survey. Additionally,5 different levels universities’library website information architecture in Jiangsu province was investigated by a questionnaire survey. This thesis analyzed the problem by the survey from the present situation in a library website, which caused the idea to reorganize and to redesign the information of a library website by the new information ecology concept. The model of university library website information architecture based on the information ecology is proposed, and its implementation steps of information ecology in information architecture are analyzed. The implementation process of the university library website information architecture based on information ecology is designed. At last, by analyzing Nanjing agricultural university library website information architecture, some suggestions and amendments are presented and the information architecture based on information ecology is explained, which make this study more practice value.This paper adopts some research methods, such as literature study, summarizing, online survey, questionnaire investigation, comparative analysis, and case analysis. Innovation lies in the following aspects, from the angle of information ecology, investigating the information ecological problems of the university library website information ecosystem, systematically explains the university library website information architecture, and puts forward the model and concrete implementation steps of the university library website information architecture based on the information ecology.
