Research On University Library Publishing Service Based On Information Ecology Theory

With the advancement of digitization and networking,the traditional library's role and function are changing.And as a centralized place of academic activities,university libraries have to change from warehouses of academic resources to creators of academic resources in the new academic communication environment.Backed by the rich academic resources of universities and authors' resources,university libraries have to actively participate in publishing activities,cope with the price crisis brought by commercial publishers and fulfill the complex and varied publishing demands of university faculty,students,academics and users of research institutions.In an attempt to promote the healthy and continuous development of university library publishing services,university libraries should take corresponding measures to coordinate the balanced relationship of all parts of publishing services.The goal of this research is to apply the theory of information ecology to university library publishing services by providing construction strategies for the stable and sustainable development of university library publishing services.In this paper,we firstly explain the definition of publishing services and information ecology theory of university libraries by combing the literature,and proved that there is an interconnection between the two,and that it is feasible to apply information ecology theory to college library publishing service and use the theory to analysis the presence of problems and the solutions of college library published service.Then,by investigating the publication service practical cases of some universities at domestic and foreign,we analyze the problems of China's university library publication service and their causes by using the information ecosystem balance theory,namely,the lack of reasonable information ecological planning of China's university library publication service,the low degree of openness of China's university library publications,the insufficient cognition and ability of publication service personnel,and the influence of information ecological environment factors of library publication service.The influence of ecological environment factors leads to poor flow of publications in college libraries,lack of complete structure of publishing service staff in college libraries and unstable ecological environment of publishing service in college libraries.Lastly,under the guideline of information ecosystem equilibrium theory,a construction solution is proposed for China's university publication service,and the construction measures are proposed in three aspects:the optimization of publication resources,the enhancement of university library publication service staff construction and the optimization of university library publication service ecological environment.
