Under The Perspective Of Media Ecology Of The Network Nationalism

Populism oringinally related to the crises of ecnomic, society, and politics. In recent years, the rise of polulism in world wide has brought challenges to global governance. So far there isn’t an authoritative definition for populism, which leads to causes and representations of the discrepancy in different countries and area, but there is a consensus that they all emphasized the opposites between people and elite, and stressed the importance of popular will. So both Arabic Disturb and Occupy Movement more or less showed populism. It is a fact that the political parties which supported populim has already steped into political stage in many European countries, and started making a contribution to the Integration process of EU.However, there was still another circumstance for the rise of populism, that is the reform of mass media, Web 2.0 times came, and traditional media faded。The Internet played an important role for the polulism wave. For example, it offered a space for populism activities, or it played as a tool of mobilization. Meanwhile cultural populism also showed a tendency to mass media. Therefore, it is necessary to make a research on the media environment of Internet, and anylize the relationship between Internet and populism.This paper summerized the concept of populism, and reviewed the study of media environment.
