The Research On Paticipatory Culture Of "Tian Shi Korean Series" Fansub Group

Under the new media environment of Web 2.0, SNS and UGC, the reform of the traditional "mutual spread and receipt interaction" pattern indicates the change of the receiver identity. With the rise of social media, the participation of the receivers is strengthening day by day and participatory culture has established and is endowed with new meanings.Participatory culture means a sharing, public, mutual and cooperative new pattern of media culture, generated from network audiences spreading news information actively, enhancing interactive communication and creating medium text with the technology of Web 2.0 in order to achieve identity. The fandom’s participatory culture of the Fansub Group Fandom of "Tian Shi Korean Series" is a typical example, which manifests the overlapping of manufacturers, consumers and propagators, which is a kind of internet communication picture.In view of this, this paper selects Fansub Group of "Tian Shi Korean Series" which can be reduced into participatory culture as the hitting-point, and then give overall care and deep-in analysis to both the audience research and the media culture research fields. First, from the static aspect, make the whole investigation about the structure and mechanism inside the Fandom of the Fansub Group; card the evolution and development history of the Fansub Group of Korean Series; and expound the group constitution and the game rules of its virtual community of the Fansub Group of "Tian Shi Korean Series". Meanwhile, the characteristics and influences of this participatory culture of the Fansub Groups in virtual communities have given a rational inspiration for the current online video media on the effective operation:on one hand, the online video media should be good at accumulating the "Long tail" effect of small crowd to seek personalized development; on the other hand, we should apply "Crowd sourcing" to absorb the wisdom of audience and dig out "Opinion-leader" audience to form the interactive transmission. It is expected that the diversity and flexibility of communication content production can be maintained under the circumstance of proactive participation of audiences.
