Organic electroluminescent device has a lot of unparalleled advantages comparedwith LCD flat panel display as a new generation of display technology: active light,ultra-high contrast ratio, ultra-wide color gamut coverage, flexible display, slimdesign, ultra-clear picture display, ultra-wide viewing angle, etc, so the status ofOLED is becoming more and more important in the display field. With the furtherdevelopment of technology, the application of OLED is more widely and the productsbecome more and more popular.However, the development of OLED is not yet mature as a new technology. Itcan be improved in the preparation process, the device lifetime, the cost of productionand other aspects. We master the weaker technology and our research space is limited,so the optimization from a performance into consideration is of great significance toimprove the OLED products, this thesis aims at the existing technology of OLEDproducts to improve performance, mainly from the OLED brightness and lifetime.This thesis firstly introduces something about the OLED, including its basicstructure and the luminescent principle, also illustrates the OLED driving mode andcolorization method; Secondly, we discuss the platform the design based on--theFPGA, including the internal structure, the design process, hardware programminglanguage and programming environment; The next part is the core content of thisthesis, consisting of two aspects of hardware and software design. We consider fromthe perspective of the overall scheme of performance improvement on the hardware,design the improving module dominated by FPGA, divide these modules andoptimize brightness and lifetime within these modules. We put forward the algorithmof brightness uniformity and lifetime improvement on the software, programmed andsimulated with Verilog HDL and then design experiments on OLED TV for debuggingand verifying. The result of the experiment shows that the algorithm of brightnessuniformity and lifetime optimization which the thesis put forward has a good improvement.The program of optimizing the performance of OLED products in this thesiscould improve brightness uniformity and extend the lifetime of the device about10%.It also plays a guiding role in the improvement of performance and has importantsignificance for the development of subsequent OLED products.
