Research And Measurement On The Characteristic Of Flat

The pros and cons of the display effect of a flat display is mainly depends on brightness uniformity and color uniformity. In this paper, the relevant parameters of the flat panel display were measured, brightness and brightness uniformity of plat display were evaluated. The main work as follow:Firstly, the digital camera was calibrated, exposure time and the nonlinear effect of CCD were corrected with the determined f-number, then the digital camera could be used as an imaging luminance meter.Secondly, the high frequency noise of digital cameras was eliminated by using the image processing method. When selected the display area, pointed out that edge and center has the unevenness right on uniformity discrimination, and pointed out a method for image extraction which is based on the inner edge of the edge width.Thirdly, the brightness uniformity of display was evaluated by using10levels contour map of brightness and9pot method, this method provided more distribution information.
