This thesis bases on the new curriculum reform which plays quite animportant part in the basic education and focus on the language use in theChinese language examination of the Entrance Examination to College.Meanwhile, I study it through the diachronic aspect, especially the newapproaches of putting forward questions under the impact of the newcurriculum reform. Besides, I attempt to find out a more scientific andreasonable way of proposing questions in the language use by studying itsdeveloping courses and contents in the examination, then to assess it andacquire the tendency in its development. What’s more, I hope to gainenlightenment for the high school’s Chinese language teaching in the useof characters at present.This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is introductionwhich introduces the topic’s background, its significance, research objects,and the current situation, standpoints of analysis, so on and so forth. Thesecond part is focusing on the historical changes in the language use ofevery Entrance Examination, and the impacts that the educationalconcepts put forward by the new curriculum have on the methods andcontents of proposing examination questions. The third part aims toanalyze the examine points of language use in the Entrance Examinationof Chinese language under the background of the new curriculum. And the last part is to evaluate the examination papers and study itsdeveloping tendency, then arrive at conclusions.The conclusions that the author make are as follows: according to theresearch, the whole tendencies of proposing questions in the part oflanguage use in the Entrance Examination of Chinese language are:1、There is a transition from examining the knowledge of language to theability to use language.2、There exists significant interdisciplinarycharacteristics.3、The proportion of subjective questions is increasing andthe ability to propose questions tends to be mature. But taken rules ofproposing questions in language use into consideration, those problemsstill exist:1、The cancelation of pronouncing and spelling parts had anegative impact on language teaching in characters.2、This test questionis located at the unreasonable place which can not help students do iteasily.3、The objective parts stay unchanging all the time, so the otherparts which belong to basic knowledge of language are becoming blind tostudents.4、It is inadequate to test the elective lessons which the reformrequests. All these changes will inevitably lead to contempt or evenignorance to the basic knowledge of language characters. The new reformclearly demand all the Chinese teachers should “improve students’language literacy comprehensively”, therefore, during the teaching weneed to do as follows:1、establish well language-based awareness2、create time spirit in teaching activities and engage excellent educational concepts into those activities.3、have a consciousness of establishcontext. Only set context awareness for students, can they put intobetter practice and gain a better understanding of the EntranceExamination as well.4、during the teaching, teachers should make fulluse of resources to enrich teaching material, which can achieve betterresults.
