The Water Margin Opera Research In Kunqu Opera

The opera of Water Margin plays a very important role in the development of the Water Margin culture, and it has a far-reaching impact on the spread of the Water Margin story. A series of Water Margin operas, which are preserved on the stage of Kunqu opera, is not only the "leader" in Water Margin-Zaju and legends, but also is an important heritage of Kunqu opera because of its exquisite artistic level and the value of unique Wuxi.The first chapter of this article attempts to make a relatively complete summary about the Water Margin operas in different opera forms of past dynasties through literature collection, statistical listing methods; the second chapter attempts to sort out the development and spread network of the Water Margin operas through comparing Kunqu opern, playscript and Water Margin operas preserved in present stage performance. This aims to analyze the Water Margin opera in it`s version levels statically.From the perspective of script adaptation, the third chapter reviews the second processing of the author of Water Margin novel and Kunqu opera troupe artists against the original materials respectively, and also explores the aesthetic requirements of the Kunqu opera stage against the script structure, words and display atmosphere through case analysis; through analyzing some classic Water Margin Wuxi Zhezi operas concretely, the last chapter attempts to summarize its performance characteristics on the Kunqu opera stage and also raise some ideas on the appreciation and protection of the art Wuxi in Kunqu opera.
