Objectives To investigate the status of pension institution and job satisfaction of nursing staffs in zun yi, as well as the factors affecting the nursing staffs’ job satisfaction. Eventually, putting forward some suggestions to improve the nursing staffs’ job satisfaction,providing some theoretical basis for government, which can takes targeted measures to nursing human resource management.Methods The general information Questionnaire and Minnesota satisfaction Questionnaire were applied to measure the job satisfaction among 128 nursing staffs in 25 pension institutions. SPSS19.0 statistical software has been used for statistical analysis, Statistical methods include descriptive statistic, t test, single-factor analysis and multiple-factor analysis.Results There have 524 pension institutions and 28,163 nursing beds in zunyi, each thousand of the old people has about 24 beds. At present,there have 18,607 old peoples living in the pension institution, the occupancy rate is 65%. The total score of satisfaction questionnaire is61.30±6.59, the satisfaction of nursing staff is in middle level. Ultimately,Multiple regression analysis showed the satisfaction questionnaire scroe,years of working, salary, professional title, post promotion or incentive system were main factors of satisfaction(R2=68.6%, F=44.128,P=0.000).Conclusions The development of pension institution in zunyi is slow,the level of service is low, it is difficult to meet the increasing pension service. The nursing staffs’ job satisfaction is in middle level. research results four main factors, through solve those factors, we can improve the nursing staffs’ job satisfaction and stabilize the nursing staff team.Moreover, the further researches are necessary to expand the sample,providing scientific theory to develop and manage the nursing staffs.
