Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of low molecular weight heparin(LMWH) for treating acute pancreatitis(AP) by meta. Methods: We searched Embase, Pub Med, VIP, CNKI, Wan Fang,CBM database by computer. Collected the randomized controlled trials(RCTs)from the date 2000 until 2015,and the relevant references of the included studies were also retrieved.Date screening and extraction were completed by two reviewers independently. Meta-analyses were conducted by Rev Man5.3 software. Results: A total of 21 studies involving 1908 participants were included. The meta analysis results showed that compared with controlled group, the treatment group was superior in the following aspects with singnificant differences: increase the cured rate[RR=1.46,95%CI:(1.18~1.81)]; reduce the intensive rate[RR=0.38,95%CI:(0.25~0.58)]; reduced the APACHE-II grade after treatment[MD=-2.01,95%CI:(-3.32~-0.70)]; reduce the complication rate[RR=0.53,95%CI:(0.44~0.63)]; reduce the mortality rate [RR=0.34, 95%CI:(0.24~0.48)]; shorter the length of hospital stay [MD=-7.57, 95%CI:(-10.35~-4.79)].Conclusion: According to the meta analysis, LMWH combined with conventional treatment is positive in treating AP.
