Correlation Study Of TCM Syndrome Types Of Gastric Cancer And Level Of Expression Of C-erbB-2 And Rb

Objective: To analyse the correlation between expression of C-erbB-2, Rb and TCM syndromes type, and investigate the nature of TCM syndromes type, and provide theoretical evidence for combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine to gastric cancer.Methods: We selected 162 patients with gastric cancer, who were experienced surgical resectionin, in Cancer Hospital of Gansu Province from October 2012 to October 2014, and collected the basic information, TCM syndromes type, tumor size, depth of infiltration,differentiation, lymph node metastasis and other clinical indicators of patients. The expression of C-erbB-2 and Rb in gastric cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical methods.We analyse the correlation between expression of C-erbB-2, Rb and gastric cancer grading,and gastric cancer periodization. Both the correlation between expression of C-erbB-2, Rb and TCM syndromes type, and the correlation between TCM syndromes type and gastric cancer grading and gastric cancer periodization was analysed. Data were analyzed and the results were compared.Results:(1) The positive expression rate of C-erbB-2 was no siginificant difference In third class of gastric cancer grading,2?=5.637, P>0.05. There was no relativity between expression of C-erbB-2 and gastric cancer grading, r=-0.086, P > 0.05. While there was no relativity between expression of Rb and gastric cancer grading,2?=11.941, P > 0.05, negative correlation was demonstrated between positive expression rate of Rb and gastric cancer grading, r=-0.232, P<0.01.(2) The positive expression rate of C-erbB-2 was highest in the fifth phase(89.7%). There was not only a siginificant difference in fifth class of gastric cancer phase,2?=29.126,P<0.01, but there was a positive correlation between expression of C-erbB-2 and gastric cancer periodization, r=0.402, P<0.01. The positive expression rate of Rb was highest in the first phase(64.3%). There was not only a siginificant difference in fifth class of gastric cancer phase,2?=21.545, P<0.01, but there was a negative correlation between expression of Rb and gastric cancer periodization, r=-0.302, P<0.01.(3) There was a siginificant difference of distribution of six TCM syndromes types in gastric cancer grading,2?=32.60, P<0.01, but there was no a relativity between distribution of TCM syndromes types and gastric cancer grading, r=-0.138, P>0.05. There was not only a siginificant difference of distribution of six TCM syndromes types in gastric cancer periodization,2?=29.61, P<0.01, but there was a positive correlation between distribution of TCM syndromes types and gastric cancer periodization, r=0.208, P<0.01.(4) There not only was a siginificant difference of expression of C-erbB-2 in six six TCM syndromes types,2?=20.118, P<0.01, but a positive correlation between expression of C-erbB-2 and TCM syndromes types was demonstrated, r=0.156, P<0.05. The strong and weak order of expression of C-erbB-2 in six TCM syndromes types was expressed as follow:deficiency of Qi and blood >Qi stagnation and blood stasis>phlegm dampness condensation>stomach heat impairment of yin> insufficiency of spleen-YANG,deficiencycold of the spleen>stomach disorder due to liver-QI.(5) There not only was a siginificant difference of expression of Rb in six six TCM syndromes types,2?=11.312, P<0.05, but a negative correlation between expression of Rb and TCM syndromes types was demonstrated, r=-0.228,P<0.01. The weak and strong order of expression of Rb in six TCM syndromes types was expressed as follow: deficiency of Qi and blood> Qi stagnation and blood stasis>phlegm dampness condensation>stomach disorder due to liver-QI>insufficiency of spleen-YANG, deficiencycold of the spleen >stomach heat impairment of yin.Conclusion:(1) The positive correlation between expression of C-erbB-2 and gastric cancer periodization was demonstrated, but the negative correlation between expression of Rb and gastric cancer periodization and gastric cancer grading. The correlation between expression of both C-erbB-2 and Rb and astric cancer periodization and gastric cancer grading would reflect development, infiltration and ransform of gastric cancer.(2) There was not only a positive correlation between TCM syndromes types and gastric cancer periodization, but a positive correlation between expression of C-erbB-2 and TCM syndromes types. There was a negative correlation between TCM syndromes andexpression of Rb. To a certain extent the expression of C-erbB-2 and Rb would reflect real and false positive.(3) To a certain extent the expression of C-erbB-2 and Rb would reflect the severity of illness and prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. In other words, the more the expression of C-erbB-2 was high, but the expression of Rb was low, the more the Zhengqi of patients with gastric cancer was deficient, and tumor node metastasis(TNM) stage was also late.
