ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Milli-fire needle treatment on knee osteoarthritis, evaluate effect of pain and daily function of knee osteoarthritis patients who’s treated by Milli-fire needle and electric acupuncture, and compare the effect of the two treatment regiments, proviede scientific basis for further theoretical and practical application of Milli-fire needle.Methods60 patients met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria knee osteoarthritis patients were randomly divided into groups of Milli-fire needle and electric acupuncture,30 cases and 30 cases. Acupuncture points of both groups are the same, including Yanglinquanã€Yinlingquanã€Zusanliã€Dubiã€Xiyan, and some other points according to the TCM Syndrome. Then plus power by G6805-I type electro-acupuncture instrument on all points respectively, with frequency of 2/100Hz density wave for 30min. Based on before, treatment group select Ashi-point(Area of attachment point of medial collateral ligament of knee joint)ã€Hedingã€Xuehai to operate Milli-fire needle. Burning the needle until it turns color white, and pierce points rapidly for 5min. The therapy is applied every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 2 weeks in all the course. Both groups were recorded by chosen scales as Lequesneã€VAS before and after the therapy, in order to evaluate the therapeutic effects of the two methods.ResultsTwo groups of patients before treatment in sex, age, course of disease, TCM syndrome type, Lequesne, VAS, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). After 4 weeks of treatment, the treatment group markedly the rate of 77%, the contrast group markedly the rate of 53%, grade of the two groups after the rank sum test for statistical analysis, P< 0.01, indicating that between two groups of rank cases there was a significant difference, in the treatment group than in the control group more effectively. The total efficiency, treatment group was 93% and control group was 90%, the grade of the two groups by the Wilcoxon rank sum test. the total efficiency in statistically no significant difference. Before and after treatment in the two groups of Lequesne score and VAS pain scores has significant difference, that two groups of therapy the treatment of the disease are effective; before and after treatment in the two groups of Lequesne score difference by statistical analysis, P<0.01, indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group. Before and after treatment in the two groups VAS score difference by statistical analysis, p>0.01 that improvement in pain, the treatment group and the control group no significant difference.ConclusionMilli-fire needle treatment of knee osteoarthritis can significantly reduce clinical symptoms and signs of KOA patients, improve their daily living activities and relieve their pains. The new therapy has a good effect, worthy of further promoting the use of. |
