Compariso n between groups :Data of the VAS, integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score and clinical curative effect were collected and respectively evaluated at the end of third course and 3 months after treatment finished. Intra- group comparison: Data of the VAS, integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score of each period were respectively analyzed and evaluated before treatment, end of first, second, third course and 3 months after treatment.Results:(1)After treatment, 10 cases were cured(33.33%)in treatment group, 17 cases w ere remarkably improved(56.66%), 1 case was proven effective(3.33), 2 cases were invalid(6.66%). The total effective rate was 93.33%. Control group 0 case cured, 1 case was remarkably improved(3.33%), 7 cases were proven effective(23.33%), 22 cases were invalid(73.33%). The total effective rate was 26.66%. There are differences in curative effect(P<0.05),the difference is statistically significant.(2)There was no statistically significant difference in VAS score and integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score(P>0.05) at the end of the courses. There was statistically significant difference in VAS score and integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score(P<0.05) after treatment 3 months.(3)After treatment VAS score and integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score in treatmen group was reduced(P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant. the control group was treated with a course of treatment before and after two courses of treatment, and after three courses of treatment, the VAS score and dysmenorrhea symptom scores were decreased(P<0.05), the difference was statistically signif icant. 3 months follow- up and three courses of treatment VAS score and dysmenorrhea symptom scores in control group were elevated(P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:(1)The long-term curative effect: with the extension of treatment time, treatment group shows more remarkable curative effect and it has been proved safe and no side effects by treating primary dysmenorrhea with abdominal meridians acupuncture.(2)The short-term curative effect: both methods are proved efficiency on the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, but control group shows better instant analgesic effect from VAS scor and integral dysmenorrhea symptoms score improvement perspective.(3)It is safe and effective with a certain cure rate to treat primary dysmenorrhea with acupuncture and moxibustion.
