Analysis On The Current Status Of Community Health Education Work In Three Areas In Chongqing

ObjectiveInvestigate and evaluate the current status of community health service institutions’and their health education personnels’specific community health education work, and find the problems which is needed to improve. Analyze related factors of these problems and do research about community health education measures which is more suitable for the practical work; investigate the specific work situation carried by community health service institutions and their health education worker of three areas in Chongqing, to pre-evaluate the effectiveness of health education work through awareness and the main access channel of the basic knowledge of health, probe the problems existing in the health education work of community at present.MethodsThe sociological research methods were mainly adopted by this research, with quantitative study was given priority to, also combined with some qualitative research. Using stratified random sampling method,75 members of community health service institutions of three areas and 98 members of health educators were surveyed by questionnaires. At the same time, survey the community residents in the selected community health service institutions with questionnaires.Results65.33% of community health service institutions lie in the urban-rural fringe, they have better health education resources, and situation of work carried is also good, but these health education personnel is given priority to with part-time worker.80.61%of the community health education personnel has participated in health knowledge training, investigation show that they hope focus strengthened training is "health education methods", accounted for 69.39%," qualification training" has 58.16%for "disease prevention knowledge training", "think where community main of public health problem" has 89.80%for "residents health consciousness Dim, health knowledge lack"; only 50.96%of the residents’ knowledge of health access channel is "health educators",61.33%of the inhabitants think that the most appropriate way of community health education activities is "health consultation",49.56%of the residents think that propagandize of the community health education campaigns is not in place.ConclusionIncrease government investment in special health education funds for community health service institutions and invest more in equipments and staff, launch targeted health education work, choose the right and strong accessibility promotional channels of health education knowledge.
