The Strengths Perspective Involves In The Study Of The Orientation Of Self-recover Of Adolescents With Cancer

In the contemporary society, Cancer has been the biggest killer of human life. Especially in recent years, environmental pollution has lead to people who have cancer showed a trend of youth, and the number of young people suffering from cancer is also increasing. Teenagers as the core of the family, Cancer brought enormous psychological pressure and physical pressure to them,and also brought a huge economic burden and psychological pain to their family. But the youth group of the cancer patients is different from other age groups, because they are in the period of the formation of the body, mind and values. At the same time, they have more desire and yearning for the future life and the unknown world. Therefore, this paper attempts to use the strengths perspective to help adolescents with cancer to explore their own advantage and their resources, and also makes them learn to use the advantage of resources to achieve their own thinking and own needs when they fight against the disease.The strengths perspective of scholars believe that the " removal of tag " should be the right direction for the development of social work practice. This perspective in addition to exploring the advantages of clients, make themselves been aware of their own strengths and learn to use their own strengths to achieve goals is more important. The concept of ‘recovery of self ’ emphasize that pay attention to recovery the subjectivity and enhance self-efficacy of clients during the process of practice. Whether or not the clients are troubled by the disease,they be able to through their own efforts and breakthroughs to live a life with hope and contribution.This paper is based on the strengths perspective and the orientation of self-recover, at the same time, using the case study and positive psychology guidance. This study is based on the establishment of trust relationship, and start with the strengths of the client and the evaluation of resources in order to guide clients form a clear understanding of their own advantages and resources. Meanwhile, combined with positive psychology guidance to actively guide their attribution style. Finally achieve the goal of recovery of self through making plans to change the status quo, and combining the strengths to carry out action.
