Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics about intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) as well as to provide effective preventions of ICH by analyzing the clinical history of patients in First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University during the period of June,2012 to May,2014.Method:235 patients with acute ICH who were admitted to the Department of Emergency and Department of Neurology were retrospectively enrolled in this investigation. Demographic, clinical, radiographic, laboratory and outcome data were retrospectively collected and the student’s t test and χ2 test were performed to analyze the clinical characteristics of ICH. A multiple logistic regression model was then developed to determine the effect of clinical characteristics on outcome. Results:Of the 235 ICH patients, male patients were more than female patients (1.94:1), as well as the males with history of smoking or alcohol abuse being more than the females; Among the age groups, the elderly group were in the majority (56.56%), the same as the number of elder patients with history of hypertensive disease (48.94%).43.17% of the attack occurred in winter,34.97% in the morning; the majority of the time of onset to admission was between 2 hours to 12 hours (46.99%).67.23% of ICH occurred in the basal ganglia,18.03% in the lobe. The most common complication was pulmonary infection. Medical expectant treatment was the most common therapy, accounting for 89.06% of patients. Average of hospital stay of ICH patients was above most others,51.64% being more than 14 days. The multiple logistic regression indicated that the history of hypertensive disease, hyperglycemia disease, stroke history, smoking, drinking, the onset were not associated with the prognosis. In contrast, GCS and complications were correlated to prognosis. Conclusions:There are differences between age, sex, onset, risk factors in ICH patients. GCS and complications are correlated to prognosis.
