| Objective: To research characteristics of medication and rule of prescription compatibility of ancient prescription treating headache, summarizing the experience thought in order to provide reference for clinical prescription.Methods: Search the disease index of “Eleventh books” in “dictionary of Chinese medicine prescription”, then collect department of internal medicine disease “headache”, “wind” and “migraine” entries prescription, a total of 354 prescriptions, 241 kinds of drugs are retrieved as the research object. First of all, normalizing the drug’s name, statistic general data characteristics of prescriptions, including the dosage form, the dynasty distribution etc, then analysis the number of drugs, four properties and five tastes, channel tropism, efficacy, dosage, at the same time analysis commonly used drugs and summary summarize characteristics and regularity of compatibility of ancient prescription treating headache.Results: Three most used dosage form of selected prescriptions are powder, decoction and pill. The prescription mainly appear in Song, Ming and Qing Dynasty. Plant drugs were most used, the highest frequency drug was Chuan xiong. The analysis shows that the temperature of drugs were used the highest frequency, then follow the cold drugs, taking compatibility of drugs of pungent, bitter and salty taste. The majority of channel tropism are spleen, lung, heat, liver and stomach. According to the drug efficacy, diaphoretic drugs were most used, follow by tonic, antipyretic, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, resolving resolving phlegm andantiasthmatic, Pinggan Xifeng drugs, rheumatism medicine, drugs for regulating Qi, drugs for dispelling internal cold and diuresis medicine these ten categories of drugs accounted for 91.5% of the proportion of the total frequency of occurrence.Conclusion: The highest frequency of drug is Chuan Xiong in this study, it is the drug of choice for the treatment of headache. The application of tea to cure headache is a big feature. Tea was used most frequently in Song and Ming Dynasty. Another feature of prescription is the application of wine. The prescriptions with wine in this study accounted for 23.2% of the total numbers, some prescriptions use wine to design drugs, some use wine to boil out drugs, some to take drugs with wine. Wine can warm the tunnel, guide drugs to top mountain. Chuanxiong Chatiao Powder is not only rigidly adhere to use the wind cold headache, but also widely used in a variety of other headache. The most used property and flavor are cold and temperature, pungent,sweet and bitter drugs, pungent and temperature drugs regulate qi, bitter and cold drugs drop evil influence, sweet and warm drugs invigorate spleen-stomach and replenish qi, then qing qi rise and zhuo qi drop, so the headache was cured. According to theory of Neijing, advocate protecting stomach qi is the most important, the drugs which channel tropism of stomach were used most frequently in this study, then follow by lung, liver, heart. The prescriptions take wind drugs very seriously, combine with tonic and drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, can rise toascending, rise Spleen Yang, relieve pain, soothing the liver, as messenger drug. |
