Clinical Study In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Complicated By Generalized Anxiety Treated From Phlegm-heat Syndrome

Objective:Discussion on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Complicated by Generalized Anxiety, to observe results of Danzhi Xiaoyaosan combined Huanglian Wendan Tang Jiajian in treating the disease of phlegm-heat syndrome, and to evaluate the safety so as to provide objective evidence for clinical application.Method:Divide 70 patients clinically diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus Complicated by generalized anxiety and in accordance with the phlegm-heat syndrome into two groups randomly according to their time sequence. Maintaining the original case of a diabetes-related treatment options, both groups were given the same psychological counseling. The control group was given paroxetine for treatment, while Chinese medicine group Danzhi Xiaoyaosan combined Huanglian Wendan Tang. A 4-week of treatment course, observed 3 treatment courses. After that, observed the two groups in such before and after treatment changes as fasting blood glucose, 2 hours postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, TCM syndrome points, Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAMA), and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS). Using SPSS17.0 statistical software for data analysis, to evaluate the clinical effects treated from phlegm-heat.Result:3 treatment courses later:(1) Compared with before treatment, FPG, 2hPG, HbAlc in the treatment group had significant statistical significance(P<0.01); HAMA, SAS total points compared with before treatment had significant statistical significance(p<0.01); TCM clinical symptom scores compared with before treatment had significant statistical significance(p<0.01).(2) Compared Treatment group with the control group, TCM clinical symptom score, FPG, 2hPG, HbAlc, HAMA, and SDS scores was statistically significant(p<0.05); the comparison of TCM syndrome between the treatment group and the control group was statistically significant(p<0.01), which indicates that Danzhi Xiaoyaosan combined Huanglian Wendan Tang Jiajian has good efficacy in treating this disease.(3) Safety testing: During the treatment, there were not abnormalities of blood pressure, blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, liver function and kidney function, and adverse reactions.Conclusion:Danzhi Xiaoyaosan combined Huanglian Wendan Tang Jiajian can significantly improve type 2 diabetes Complicated by generalized anxiety in accordance with phlegm-heat syndrome and such generalized anxiety symptoms as nervous, scared, upset and flustered, insomnia, vomiting and nausea, and reduce fasting blood glucose, 2 hours postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, which is effective and worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
