ObjectiveTo explore the effect of quality control circles(QCC) in undergraduate nursing when applied to improve clinical teaching quality continuously. The study was designed using the QCC method for management of solving the issues of undergraduates in clinical teaching and nursing skills through scientific analysis, to form a standardization management. To study if nursing quality management circle can affect clinical teaching standard, arouse the enthusiasm of clinical teacher, change the teaching methods,improve the quality of undergraduate courses, make clinical teaching more standards and scientific. At the same time to explore the precautions of application in clinical teaching by the quality control circles methods.Methods:Head nurses, clinical nursing teachers and the nursing students who are voluntary to participate the QCC activity established by undergraduates’ clinical teaching department. The activity has ten steps, two circles. By the scientific assessment "1, 3, 5" scoring method, to confirm “prove undergraduate interns satisfaction of clinical practice " as the theme of the first circle. And " to improve students’ operating technology standardization in intravenous infusion practice” as the theme of the second circle. After five passages through making plan, grasping the current situation, setting goals, parsing,proposing countermeasures, reviewing the strategy implementation, confirming the effect, standardization, review and improve the QCC activity.The first circle QCC activity, using the questionnaire edited by Liuyanhui toperform the present survey. Through the survey found that the students have 4 more prominent problems: the practice scientific research ability of nursing students, the former training, legal knowledge and occupational protection. To draft the improvement measures to solve the corresponding problems by the ideas of group. Make sure that the quality control circles activity is effective.The second circle QCC activity, there are several problems in the assessment of intravenous fluids, the aseptic technique, operation process, and Three Examination Eight Checking according to the survey. members in the circle thought that making nursing technical operation video, training of teachers, carrying out the standardization technical operation knowledge lecture are corrective measures.To compare the target yield rate of the first and the second circle, the members can analyze the improvement of countermeasures in order to standardize and popularize the effective results of the two circles.Using the SPSS17.0 statistical processing, analyze the enumeration data by chi-square test, and measurement data by t test, P < 0.05 indicate the difference was statistically significant.Result1. After the first phase of QCC activity, comparing with the nursing students,satisfaction surveys before improvement and confirming the results, we found that the target compliance rate was 104%, the progress rate was 57%. Though comparing the scores of the questionnaire before and after the activities, the satisfaction of undergraduate nursing students in clinical practice was improved. The difference was statistically significant.2. After the second phase of QCC activities, comparing the examination results of the nursing students in operating technique before and after the activities, and confirming the results, we calculate the target compliance rate was 103%, the progress rate was 58%.The number of failed in the aseptic technique, operating practices, the Three Examination Eight Checking of issues was falling,the excellent rates of the nursing students,assessment results increased from 53% to 79%.The difference wasstatistically significant(P<0.01).3. Intangible outcomes: Comparing the circle members in enthusiasm, cohesion and harmony, responsibility, a sense of pleasure, problem solving, communication skills and the application of quality control practices before and after the activities, the score was significantly improved.Conclusion1. The effect of quality management circle in undergraduate nursing clinical teaching quality continuously improve the application is good.2. Using quality control circles quality management can effectively solve the problem of undergraduate teaching and nursing skills, form the standardized management.3. Using quality control circles management method can arouse the enthusiasm of teachers and students, and improve the clinical teaching method more standardization and scientific.
