Objective:To explore the application value of QCC in nurse specialist of operating room trainingprogram,through comparing the effect of training between QCC and the traditional mode.Methods:We used the traditional training mode and the QCC activities as the core of the training modeto respectively train two group students of the Nurse Specialist training program organized byJilin Province health department during the time from June,2014to January,2015.After thetraining, using the same theory and practice examination form and content, registered nursecore competence scale and the satisfaction evaluation for teachers evaluated the training effectof two groups and further assessed application value of QCC.Results:The mid-term and the final examination results of theory teaching had the statisticallysignificant difference between two groups (P<0.05). The difference of practical skillsexamination and on-site interview examination were statistically significant (P<0.01). Thereare statistical difference in critical thinking, research and clinical nursing dimension,interpersonal dimension, professional development dimension, education and consultationdimension between two groups(P <0.05), while leadership dimensions and legal, ethicalpractice dimension score had no difference significance (P>0.05). The difference about theteachers satisfaction scores in research teaching ability, teaching attitude, teaching ability,teaching mode between the two groups were statistical significance (P <0.01).Conclusion:The application of QCC in operating room nurse specialist training program can improve theirtheoretical and practical skills, core competence of the special student and the comprehensiveprofessional quality of teacher.
