Objective:There are various essays researching the impact of sports on bone density changes of middle-aged people in foreign countries and the nation, especially focus on female in menopause period, because the bone weight lost is obvious during this period. There are many sport activities fit for middle-aged people, and square dance has been one of exercise forms emerging in recent years, deeply favored by middle-aged women. Meanwhile, as a sport activity, it is seldom combined with osteoporosis precautions of middle-aged women, especially from the aspect of quantitative study on bone density. From the viewpoint of quantitative study, whether long-term square dance will affect osteoporosis precautions to some extent has been analyzed in the essay. Meanwhile the article analyzed the correlation of bone density changes and body composition, to provide the evidence for the reasonable fitness of middle-aged women, and suggestions for community mentors to conduct the sport activities scientifically.Methods:Middle-aged women (age from45to60years old) of square dance exercise nearby provincial stadium in Xi’an City were chose in the essay as the research objectives. The samples are fixed in the same place at the same time and exercise square dance over2years,5times a week, about90minutes for one time, with average heart rate of125times per minute. They were divided into the age group:45-49years old and the age group:50-59years old, with15people for each. Through the detection of bone density and body composition of the exercisers, compared with reference value range of bone density of the same part of body of adult female in the same age period, thereby the bone conditions of middle-aged women can be understood, to analyze the impact of long-term square dance exercise on bone density changes of middle-aged women; meanwhile, body composition structure of middle-aged women can be realized, to analyze the correlation with bone density. Measurement instrument utilized Lunar DPX-NT model of dual X ray borne densitometers from American G.E company, to test lumbar vertebra, bone density of proximal femur, as well as the content of muscles and fat of the whole body of the research objectives. Tested data can be statistically analyzed by Spssl7.0statistics software, if P<0.05, the result is significant difference.Results:(1) The age group of45-49years old, BMD of lumbar vertebra L2, L3, L4, L2-4were significantly higher than the age group of50to59years old. In the age group:50-59years old, compared with the reference value, BMD of lumbar vertebra L2-4has significant difference (P<0.01), and in the age group:45-49years old, compared with the reference value, BMD of lumbar vertebra L2-4has no statistical significance (P>0.05).(2) The age group of45-49years old with bilateral femoral neck BMD and wards triangle are higher than the age group of50-59years old. In the age group:50-59years old, compared with the reference value, BMD of bilateral femur has significant difference (P<0.01), and in the age group:45-49years old, compared with the reference value, BMD of bilateral femur has no statistical significance (P>0.05).(3) T-score from the point of view, the age group of45-49different parts of the lumbar spine BMD T-score in addition to outside the L2-4are positive, in the age group:50-59years old, different parts of BMD T-score only the right femoral neck and bilateral greater trochanter is positive, Z-score greater trochanter only bilateral comparison does not have a significant difference.Conclusions:(1) With growing older, the bone weight will be accelerated to loss. Long-term square dance exercise can alleviate the decline of lumbar vertebra bone density of middle-aged women.(2) Square dance practice to some extent to improve the situation of older women femur bone, to improve BMD at the femoral neck and wards triangle has a good effect, promote greater trochanter BMD is not very obvious.(3) in older women Square Dance to long-term prevention of osteoporosis have some positive effect. For the50-59age group, it is about to enter or already in menopause menopausal status, exercise also be applied in addition to other ways to supplement and other drugs to interfere with, the only way to effectively reduce the incidence of osteoporosis and fracture risk.
