Objective To analyze the expression levels of NF-κB and IL-1β in Apo M-knockout(Apo M-/-) and wild type(Apo M+/+) mice treated with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Methods The Apo M-/- and Apo M+/+ male mice(age: 6-8weeks, weight: about 25g) were divided into two group as LPS-treated group(0.1ml LPS dissolved in sa line, 10mg/kg) and saline-treated group(0.1ml). LPS or saline was injected once a day for three days. The expressions of NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA in mice liver were detected by Real-time PCR.Results Compared with the saline group, the expression of NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA were significantly increased in Apo M-/- and Apo M+/+ mice liver after injecting the LPS(P<0.05). But compared with Apo M-/- mice, the expression of NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA m RNA were significantly decreased in Apo M+/+ mice after injecting the LPS(P<0.05). The Two-Way ANOVA showed that there was interaction between LPS and Apo M on NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA expression levels in mouse liver(P<0.05).Conclusions LPS increased the expression of NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA, Apo M inhibited the expression of NF-κB and IL-1β m RNA induced by LPS in mouse liver.
