The purpose: Square Dance as the currently most popular sport of the masses, with its unique charm. Middle-aged women are participating in the exercise maximum number of square dance groups, Their importance in society and in the family prompted us that we must increase their physical and mental health as concerned. The purpose of this paper is to explore and understand the square dance for middle-aged women sleep quality between 45 and 59 years old, guide the middle-aged women to sleep, Enhance awareness of fitness, to actively participate in the plaza to dance workout.Methods: With Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale(PSQI), Sleepiness scale(ESS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS), Self-evaluation of Anxiety Scale(SAS) and self-made general project survey of shijiazhuang city between 45 and 59, 300 participants Square Dance and 300 non-participants Square Dance to be tested. Respondents within the specified time independent or assisted by others to complete a questionnaire to fill, test results returned questionnaires will arrange entry computer, Using SPSS descriptive analysis, t-test, Spearman correlation analysis, X2 test.Results:1. Square Dance participants sleepiness score 6.46±2.22, lower than non-participants9.49±3.36,(p<0.01), a statistically significant meaning.2. Square Dance participants PSQI total score of 7.20 ± 2.47, lower than non-participants 9.24 ± 3.78(P<0.01).Square Dance participants than non-participants to better sleep quality, sleep time is short, less sleep disturbance, taking less hypnotic drugs(P<0.01). Square Dance poor sleep quality non-participants who accounted for 37.3% of the total sample, 10.7% higher than the square dance participants.3. Square Dance SAS standard non-participants are divided into 41.36 ± 6.36,significantly higher than the square dance participants 35.93±4.98(p<0.01). Square Dance anxiety was higher than non-participants Participants Square Dance, reach 36.0%. The square dance participants, only 19.3% had anxiety symptoms, Significant difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).4. Square Dance SDS standard non-participants are divided into 45.39 ± 7.66,significantly higher than the square dance participants 37.96 ± 4.98(p<0.01). Square Dance depression is higher than non-participants Participants Square Dance, reach 28.3%, while only15.3% Square Dance participants with depressive symptoms, significant difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).In conclusion:1. This paper surveyed middle-aged women Square Dance participants PSQI total score was significantly lower than non-participants to square dance, square dance participants showed better quality of sleep and sleep disorders in low occurrence. Through the square dance exercise can effectively improve and enhance the quality of sleep middle-aged women,menopausal syndrome, is an effective movement of middle-aged women’s heart health fitness.2. Square Dance participants adverse psychological mood of anxiety and depression was significantly less than non-participants to square dance, square dance show by exercice can effectively reduce the psychological stress, relieve anxiety and depression and other negative emotions, thus improving the quality of sleep.
