The Clinical Effect Of The Liangxue Jiedu Gao In The Treatment Of Acute Classâ…¡-â…¢ Of Radiation Mucositis

Malignant tumor is one of the most serious diseases threatening the health of human beings.Radiotherapy is one of the three major cancer treatment methods.Radiation therapy can effectively improve the local control rates of surgery and long-term survival rate.Radiation can kill tumor cells who can kill normal tissues especially skin tissue.Radiation-induced skin damage rate is 91.4%.Radiation-induced skin damage is inevitably in the process of radiotherapy.Therefor,we must prevent and deal with the skin reaction of patients with radiation therapy timely and suitably.It relate to the radiotherapy is smoothly proceed and the patients have a good quality of life and a long-term prognosis.There are a lot of clinical medicine and methods which can tread radiation-induced skin damage at present.The drugs were mainly the external remedy.The external remedy of the western medicine import from abroad which have single function and expensive price.There are a lot of advantages of Chinese medicine including anti-inflammatory、clearing heat、relieving pain、promoting wound healing、low cost and etc.This study used external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine to treat the radiation-induced skin damage.The clinical exploration targeted to reduce the patient’s pain,reduce the patient’s radiation-induced skin and insure the smooth implementation of radiation scheme.Objective: The clinical used randomized and controlled method which used the Liangxue Jiedu Gao on the treatment of head and neck cancer patient and breast cancer patient which occur the acute class Ⅱ-Ⅲ of radiation dermatitis.To observe the clinical effect and safety of the Liangxue Jiedu Gao on the treatment of acute class Ⅱ-Ⅲ of radiation mucositis.The clinical exploration targeted to distinctively alleviate toxin side reaction of radiation-induced skin damage and increasing the integrity and continuity of the radiotherapy.Methods:This study used a prospective,randomized,controlled method. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,patients with head and neck cancer and breast cancer who occur the acute class Ⅱ- Ⅲ of radiation dermatitis were undergoing radiotherapy who were charged in Radiotherapy Department of Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University between August 2010 and april 2014 were selected as participants of this study.Patients were recruited and randomly divided into two group.Ⅱ、Ⅲ-class of 60 cases of acute radioactive dermatitis patients were divided randomly into Control group(there were 6 cases of class II and 24 cases of class III)and Liangxue Jiedu-Gao group(there were 5 cases of class II and 25 cases of class III).At first we should clean the patients’ s local skin with the 0.9% normal saline and keep it to dry.Second we use the 0.5% iodine volts cotton ball to clean the local skin 2 times and keep it exposure.Liangxue Jiedu Gao was evenly coated with the skin lesions in the Chinese medicines group,3 times a day,continuously use 15 days.Radiation field skin covered uniform with Liangxue Jiedu Gao.To exceed of the scope of radiation field skin is about expansion 1cm and the thickness is about 1-2mm.Massage it lightly with fingertips.the drug can permeate skin cells.It will not be used when the wet skin damage happen.was evenly coated with the skin lesions in Control group,2 times a day,continuously use 15 days.The local skin keep to clean,dry and breathable during the treatment.The patients was given education about radiotherapy and health.Other conditions being equal.Two groups of patients who occur the class Ⅱ-Ⅲ of radiation dermatitis will continue to accept radiation until completely finished the cure.Results: A total of 60 patients completed the study.It ensured the continuity and integrity of the radiation therapy.the two groups in age,gender, skin lesions part,the radiation dermatitis classifications,radiation dose,clinical stage,KPS score,staging of their disease and wheher received chemotherapy have no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).The total efficiency rate of Liangxue Jiedu Gao group was 93.34%,the control group wan 96.67%. There was no significant difference in total efficiency rate of two groups.The Liangxue Jiedu Gao group had 21 patients that had a good effective,but the control group only had 12 patients. The effective rate of Liangxue Jiedu Gao group was 70%,the control group only 40%.The first group is better than the last one(P<0.05).Liangxue Jiedu Gao can relieve the pain and the pruritus and it can reduce the level of pain.So it is more advantageous.The Liangxue Jiedu Gao group in 63.33% of patients can control the pian within 24 hours.The control group in 13.33% of patients can control the pain within 24 hours.The Liangxue Jiedu Gao group have a lower level of pain(P<0.05). The Liangxue Jiedu Gao group in 43.33% of patients can control the itching within 12 hours.The control group in 6.67% of patients can control the itching within 12 hours.The average skin-recovery time was different,the Liangxue Jiedu Gao group was(7.03±1.53)days and the control group was(9.76±2.34) days,which was satistically significant between the two groups.The Liangxue Jiedu Gao group was much better than the Gene Time group(P<0.05).Two groups have no statistically significant differences in KPS score at before and after therapy(P>0.05). Safety analysis:Both of the groups don’t have harmful response of drug.Conclusion: The Liangxue Jiedu Gao are effective in treatment of acute class Ⅱ、Ⅲof radiation mucositis,and can quickly relieve itching and other symptoms of radiation-induced skin damage.It can relieve the pain degree,short the skin damage recovery time,imorove the quality of life of patients,reduce the radiotherapy skin reactions and ensure the radiation therapy smoothly.The treatment of Liangxue Jiedu Gao was much better than the Gene Time group.It is safe and effective that worth promoting.
