Objective: To observe the effect of non-drug therapy in Alzheimer’s disease for further delay the progression of Alzheimer’s disease(AD) and improve cognitive function in Alzheimer’s patients with effective treatment methods.Methods: Collecting of AD cases and the healthy cases from encephalopathy department of shijiazhuang TCM hospital in or outpatient, which cases diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease during the period of April 2013 to April 2014. The cases were randomly divided into group health, drug therapy, non-drug therapy group and drug + non-drug therapy group. Oral drug treatment group: giving ginkgo biloba soft capsule, olathe temple, donepezil HCL tablets. Non-drug treatment group: giving acupuncture, acupoint massage and ear bean treatment, at the same time give the cognitive function training. Treatment: 3 months for a period of treatment, take 2 courses of treatment continuously, then do the scales of MMSE and ADL for clinical curative effect evaluation.Results: The curative effect based on MMSE scores comparison result from groups: drug + non-drug treatment group total effective rate was obviously superior then other groups. The curative effect based on ADL scores comparison between groups: there is no statistically significant difference between three treatment groups.Conclusion: The curative effect of drug + non-drug treatment is superior to simple drug group or non-drug therapy alone, which based on MMSE test. A comprehensive treatment can effectively improve the ability of learning and memory of the Alzheimer’s disease patients, but don’t improve its clinical manifestation and quality of the life.
