The morbidity of patients in stroke is increasing year by year. It may relates to the life style of fast rhythm, high nutrition, high pressure and less exercise, coupled with the increasingly serious environment pollution and individual factors change. And the survivors of stroke patients often accompanied by a variety of different degree of limb dysfunction, seriously affected the patients’life and work quality. At the same time, they brought a huge economic burden to the families and the society. Especially in the last few years, the patients of stroke were younger and younger, reducing the phenomenon even more. The symptom of early stage of stroke is local limbs limp. Modern philosophy generally acknowledge that early intervention treatment is beneficial to the rehabilitation of limb, but because of its specific pathogenesis is not clear yet, there is no effective drugs or treatment measures that can heal the limb. For the drugs often have a variety of side effect are unpredictable and expensive. Modern research has shown that acupuncture on patients of stroke were effective. But there is no uniform standard for variety acupuncture methods. The existing study of reach methods were imperfect, some good and some bad, it’s necessary to further explore and research. This study used method of acupuncture by stages, more in line with the rehabilitation of cerebral apoplexy hemipleqic limbs. This study combined the related clinical research to further explore the treatment by stages for the patients of stroke of flaccid stage(i.e Brunnstrom stage I).We hope the research can provide a more convenient and effective treatment for the rehabilitation of stroke patients.ObjectiveThis topic according to Brunnstrom stage theory, with stroke flaccid paralysis period patients as the research object, using the method of prospective randomized controlled trial to explore clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture by stages, which hope to provide basic medical data for further development and application of acupuncture by stages, eventually achieving the goal of improving the quality of life.MethodsOn the basis of routine therapy and rehabilitation training,66 included patients who were met the inclusion criteria were randomly allocated into two groups:a control group(32 patients, treated by acupuncture with traditional way)and an intervention group(34 patients, adopted the cupuncture treatment by stages). Both groups were treated once daily and 6 times weekly, expected for 2 weeks. All patients were evaluated at baseline and after treatment by using the MRC muscle test, Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) and Brunnstrom VI scales.Results(1)General information:patients enrolled in the groups on the aspects of the gender composition, the average age, the average duration, the paralysis limbs, the nature of the disease difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05), prompt baseline data consistent with good comparability. Before treatment, the MRC muscle test and the muscular tension has no significant difference (P>0.05).(2)Comparison between groups:Compared with the control group, the intervention group was better in the MRC muscle test and BrunnstromVI scales, and there was a marked difference (P<0.05). There was a notable improvement (P <0.05) in the period of muscular tension reached level 1 according to Modified Ashworth Scale, and the treatment group is better than the control group.(3) Comparison in group:Comparing with baseline, both groups were better in MRC muscle test and Brunnstrom VI scales after treatment. Conclusion(1) Both the methods of acupuncture treatment by stages and acupuncture with traditional way could improve the level of MRC muscle test. The former was better than the latter.(2) Acupuncture treatment by stages can accelerate the increase of muscle tension of patients with stroke of flaccid stage, shorten the time of flaccid paralysis Compared with the control group.(3)Acupuncture therapy by stages can be expanded because it’s simple, practical, having exact curative effect and no significant adverse reactions. |
