| ObjectiveThrough the treatment of basis hypoglycemic medications on study subjects of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), to observe the effects of taking Danggui sini decoction and low-frequency pulses to stimulate acupuncture points. To evaluate efficacy, safety, and the advantages objectively of that comprehensive clinical treatment that were replied on patients of DPN by making comparative analysis of the indicators, including integration of clinical symptoms and signs, perception thresholds and fasting plasma glucose, making comparative analysis of the indicators 2-hour postprandial blood glucose changes, etc. This study would provide a approach of for the clinical treatment of DPN, and enrich Chinese medicine treatment.MethodsThe 75 qualified cases,which were picked out from endocrine inpatient hospital patients and according with diagnostic criteria, assigned into three groups by simple randomize method, including combined treatment group, Chinese medicine treatment group and a control group, each group has 25 cases. All cases were gave each patient basis of western medicine treatment include Basis antidiabetic drugs, Diabetic diet to control the daily energy intake and diabetes-related health education. With that basic treatment of study, patients of Chinese medicine treatment group took warm Danggui sini decoction twice everyday, and combined therapy group, in addition to Danggui sini decoction, must conduct a low frequency pulse treatment every day. Therapy treatment lasted for a week. And then to collect data before and after treatment, including clinical manifestations perception thresholds, fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose, etc, then to use of the t test and x2 test to statistical analysis.ResultsIn terms of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, there are three groups, efficiency of the control group was 64%, Chinese medicine treatment group was 72%, the combined therapy group was 88%. Compared to Chinese medicine treatment group, the combined treatment group was more efficient than the treatment group,P=0.011(P<0.05), there are significant differences. Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group compared to control group respectively, through χ2 test, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Chinese medicine treatment group compared to combined therapy group, through χ2 test, P=0.011(P<0.05), there are statistical significance. Compared with the previous same treatment, the three groups lowered perception threshold after treatment, the difference was significant (P<0.01), Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group lowered sensitivity threshold effective than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), but no significant difference (P>0.05) between treatment group and combined treatment group. In term of controlling fasting plasma glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood, fasting plasma glucose and postprandial 2h plasma glucose levels of three groups of patients were significantly improved (P<0.05, P<0.01), and compared to the control group after treatment, fasting plasma glucose of Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group was statistically significant different (P<0.05), but the difference between Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Among the three groups group, difference of 2-hour postprandial blood glucose was not statistically significant (P>0.05).ConelusionChinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group were more effective than the control group in improving aspects of the patient’s clinical symptoms, in the meanwhile, the combined therapy group was more effective than Chinese medicine treatment group. In cotrolling of the perception threshold and fasting plasma glucose, Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group were more effective than the control group, besides, there was no difference between Chinese medicine treatment group and combined therapy group, and no difference of 2-hour postprandial blood glucose among three groups. The study didn’t find adverse reactions in patients with liver and kidney damage. Danggui sini decoction and low-frequency pulse to stimulate acupoints therapy could improve DPN clinical symptoms of DPN, and the results may be both could improve microcirculation, neuromuscular excitability, improve ischemia and hypoxia. Danggui sini decoction can reduce perception thresholds and fasting plasma glucoseand level, which result may had been improved the body’s microcirculation, excited nerve muscle tissue, inhibiting reducing oxidative stress, accelerated inflammatory substances absorb dissipated, inhibition of glycogen conversion, repair damaged nerves, etc. but it was too lack of time to observe low-frequency pulses to stimulate acupuncture therapy on the extent of damage to nerve recovery and to reduce blood glucose. |
