Abstract:Objective In the teaching of higher vocational collegePediatric Nursing, by determining the teaching goal of cultivating the abilityof professional, carry out teaching design which include select teachingcontent based on working process, and create teaching environment that istrue combined with simulation and so on. Comparing teaching effect of theteaching mode of this teaching design and the traditional teaching mode,Study the influence of this teaching design to nursing students’ criticalthinking ability, vocational ability, verify the effectiveness of his teachingdesign.Methods Choose98students of a medical college nursing professionalgrade2011class6and class9, adopt the method of convenience sampling,the experimental group is49, the control group is49too. The experimentalgroup use the teaching design that is based on the professional abilitytraining. Guided by constructivism learning theory, action learning theoryand learning theory, and combined with clinical pediatric nursing practice, the teaching design is carried out in which ways include teaching target,teaching content, teaching environment, teaching methods, teachingactivities, and teaching evaluation. Then implement teaching according tothe teaching design. The lecture teaching way is used by the control,supplemented by classroom questioning and homework. Skills courses adoptteacher demonstrate--student practice--teacher guide. End of the test, surveyof nursing students of two groups With a critical thinking dispositioninventing Chinese version (CTDI-CV), professional ability of self-madequestionnaire, and take examination for the two groups of nursing studentson theory and of comprehensive skills operation, then compare the scores.Statistical data using SPSS FOR WINDOWS18.0software to analysis.Results1、 Baseline data show two groups of nursing students were nosignificant differences at the location of the sex ratio, origin, last semestergrade point average and age (p>0.05).2、The difference of the experimental group’s score which includestudents’ critical thinking, search for the truth, abilities of analysis,systematic, the cognitive maturity and curious was statistically significant.3、The score of experimental group students’ vocational ability is higherthan the control group, and the difference was statistically significant4、The experimental group’s theory test score is higher than the controlone, the difference was statistically significant(p <0.05). 5、 The score of the experimental group’s comprehensive skillsoperation test is higher than the control one, the difference was statisticallysignificant(p <0.05).Conclusion1、The teaching design which is based on the professional abilitytraining is beneficial to the improvement of the professional ability ofnursing students.2、The teaching design which is based on the professional abilitytraining is beneficial to the improvement of nursing students’ criticalthinking ability.3、The teaching design which is based on the professional abilitytraining is beneficial to the level of theoretical knowledge and thecomprehensive operation skill of nursing students.4、There are some limitation during the applying of the teaching design,the nursing educators should take more research to make better effects of thisteaching design.
