| Objective To investigate the association between stone composition and urine metabolic abnormity of urinary calculi patients in Jiangsu Province. Methods Firstly, collecting clinical data, stones from operation and self-passage,24-hour urines in urinary calculi patients hospitalized in our hospital from Mar2013to Feb2014. Then, differentiating TCM syndromes, analyzing calculi ingredients through Infrared spectroscopy, and detecting24-hour urine metabolic parameters through biochemical analyzer and Ion Chromatography. At last, studying the associations between stone composition, urine metabolic abnormity of urinary calculi patients. Results (1) A total of311stone patients were included in this study, with186men and125women aged from19years to90years.(2) By calculi ingredients, there were272(87.50%) calcium oxalate stone patients,218(70.10%) calcium phosphate stone patients,34(10.93%) magnesium ammonium phosphate stone patients,26(8.36%) uric acid stone patients,l(0.32%) cystine stone patient.(3) By urine metabolic abnormity, there were162(52.09%) hypocituria patients,124(39.87%) hyperoxaluria patients,93(29.90%) lower urine volume patients,48(15.43%) hypercalcinuria patients,29(9.32%) hyperuricuria patients,1(0.32%) cystinuria patients.(4) By TCM syndrome, there were117(37.62%) heat accumulation patients,91(29.26%) kidney-Yin deficiency patients,54(17.36%) kidney-Yang deficiency patients,49(15.76%) stagnation patients.(5) Both proportions of hypocituria in calcium oxalate stone and calcium phosphate stone patients were significantly lower than that of uric acid stone patients(P<0.05), the proportion of hypocituria in calcium oxalate stone and calcium phosphate stone patients were significantly higher than that of uric acid stone patients (P<0.05), and the average urine pH value in uric acid stone patients was significantly lower than any other stone-type patients.(6) There was no significance of TCM syndrome between any stone-type patients (P>0.05).Conclusion Stone compositions were associated with urine metabolic abnormities of urinary calculi patients in Jiangsu Province. Stone compositions were in calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate primary.Determining stone compositions and urine metabolic abnormity has important clinical significance for preventioning stone formation and recrudescence, evaluating urinary stones cause, establishing stone prevention and control system. |
