| Ojective:To investigate the relationship between primary hypertension (PH) and body mineral density in men over50years old.Method:During the period of August16th to December10th,2011.10207community residents aged no less than40-year-old accepted the Chinese type2diabetes risk for cancer epidemiology investigation of Dalian area. We measured their blood pressure, pulse rate, height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, calculated the pulse pressure, body mass index(BMI) and waist-hip-ratio(WHR), and detected the lumbar spine1-4(L1-4) bone density of T scores(BMDTs), fasting plasma glucose, postprandial2hour plasma glucose, three glycerol(TG), total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and other indicators. According to the inclusive and exclusive criteria,461cases were collected in accordance with the standard, and they were divided into three groups according to the diagnostic criteria of osteoporosis approved by WHO:Normal bone mass group (358), Osteopenia group (86) and Osteoporosis group (17), to compare the three groups of data of the blood pressure, and analyze the correlation between blood pressure and BMDTs of the lumbar spine.Results:1. Systolic blood pressure of Normal bone mass group, Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group were respectively(144.36±20.21vsl38.79±21.25vs137.76±18.37) mmHg, and there were significant differences in these three groups(F=6.239, P=0.002). Systolic blood pressure of Normal bone mass group was significantly higher than that of Osteopenia group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference of systolic blood pressure between Normal bone mass group and Osteoporosis, and so as Osteoporosis and Osteopenia group(P>0.05). Diastolic blood pressure of Normal bone mass group, Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group were (82.63±11.14vs80.03±12.59vs73.71±11.12)mmHg, and there were significant differences in these three groups(F=6.493,P=0.002). Diastolic blood pressure of Normal bone mass group was significantly higher than that of Osteoporosis group (P<0.05), Osteopenia group was significantly higher than that of Osteoporosis group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference of diastolic blood pressure between Normal bone mass group and Osteoporosis. Mean arterial pressure of Normal bone mass group, Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group were respectively(103.21±12.55vs99.62±14.58v94.94±11.26)mmHg, and there were significant differences in these three groups(F=5.494,P=0.004). Mean arterial pressure of Normal bone mass group was significantly higher than that of Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference of blood pressure between Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group(P>0.05). Pulse pressure of these three groups had no significant difference(P>0.05).2. The prevalence rate of hypertension of Normal bone mass group, Osteopenia group and Osteoporosis group were respectively (59.2%vs44.2%vs35.3%), and the difference in these three groups was statistically significant(χ2=9.272, P=0.010).The prevalence rate of hypertension of Normal bone mass group was significantly higher than that of Osteopenia group (χ2=6.369, P=0.012), and the prevalence rate of hypertension of Normal bone mass group and Osteoporosis group had no statistically significant difference (χ2=3.817, P=0.051), and the prevalence rate of hypertension of Osteopenia and Osteoporosis group had no statistically significant difference(χ2=0.459, P=0.498).3. Pearson correlation coefficient showed that Systolic blood pressure,Pulse pressure and Mean arterial pressure were postively correlated with BMD (r=0.113,P=0.016; r=0.094,P=0.044;r=0.100,P=0.031) respectively.4. Multiple stepwise regression showed that2hPG,BMI,waist to hip ratio, serum uric acid were positive correlation with BMD(P<0.05),systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure and pulse pressure had no correlation with BMD(P>0.05).Conclusions: 1.Olderly men with normal body density group had higher prevalence rate of hypertension than that of osteopenia group.2.2hPG, BMI,waist to hip ratio, serum uric acid were postively correlated with body mineral density.3.There was significant correlation between hypertesion and body mineral density, but hypertesion was not the independent related factor of body mineral density. |
