The Utilization Of Quality Control Circle In Protection Of Surgical Smoke

ObjectiveTo explore the feasibility of using quality control circle to manage surgicalsmoke protection. To promote the awareness and practice of surgical smokeprotection of hospital workers.MethodsUsing surgical smoke cognition and protectivon questionnaire to investigateheath workers’ cognition and protection about surgical smoke. Implementing a seriesof quality control circle activities including theme establishing, goals setting,feasibility analysis, cause and effect analysis, cause and effect argument,countermeasures making and evaluation to improve the awareness and action ofsurgical smoke protection of health workers. Using matching t test to analyse theawareness and protective action of study objects and pain score of operating roomstaffs. Results(1) More than90%of the surgical smoke exposure medical workers were lack ofenough understanding effective self protection.(2) Using matching t test to analysis the total points and points of everydimension of surgical smoke knowledge questionnaire, protect questionnaire andpoints of Numeric Rating Scale, the differences were significant (P<0.01).(3) Using Kruskal-Wallis to analysis the total points and points of everydimension of surgical smoke knowledge questionnaire of doctors, nurses, andanesthesiologists, using LSD-t to analysis the total points and points of everydimension of surgical smoke protect questionnaire of doctors, nurses, andanesthesiologists, the differences were insignificant (P>0.05).ConclusionThe heath workers’ knowledge and protective practice of surgical smoke hadserious deficiencies, and quality control circle activities implementing could improvethe heath workers’ knowledge and protective practice of surgical smoke.
