Study On Acupuncture Therapy Of Dredging Conception And Governor Vessels Combined Self-Training On Hemiplegia Of Acute Ischemic Stroke

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture therapy of dredging conception and governor vessels combined self-training on hemiplegia of acute ischemic stroke. To study effects of them on motor functions and activities of daily living in patients with stroke.Methods65included patients with acute ischemic stroke(more than24hours but within14days) were treated with standard treatments according to the "2010China’s Guidelines On Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke", and then were randomly allocated into an intervention group(32patients, treated with self-training)and a control group(33patients, treated using acupuncture therapy of dredging conception and governor vessels combined self-training).The research team evaluated all patients at baseline, after14-days-treatment used the Fugl-Meyer Assessment of Physical Performance (FMA), Functional Independence Measure (FIM) to evaluated.Results(1) Comparison between groups:There are significant difference(P<0.01)of motor functions, and activities of daily living were found between the treatment group and the control group after our treatments of14days. And difference (P<.0.05) in curative effect of FMA and FIM were also found between the treatment group and the control group after our treatments of14days.(2) Comparison in group:No significant differences existed between the two groups at baseline. Compared to baseline, the treatment group improved FMA, FIM scores by the end of week2(P<0.05), and-the control group also improved FMA, FIM scores by the end of week2(P<0.01). Conelusion (1) The acupuncture therapy of dredging conception and governor vessels combined self-training program can effectively improved motor functions and activities of daily living of patient with stroke, and the effect is better than using self-training program only.(2) The effectiveness and lack of adverse events associated with self training program in this study suggest that it may represent an additional treatment option for stroke patients.
