The Influence To The Recovery Of Stroke Patients' Motor Function With Combination Of Acupuncture On Back-shu Point And Trunk Training

Trunk as the largest and central part of the body,it can ensure the stability of the body when it's upright and under a variety of positions, and provide a solid foundation for the activities of head and limbs.The trunk control ability of paralytics patients is seriously affected so that it cannot provide a good basis of stability to limbs movements,the patients' upper and lower limbs moves only in the manner of spastic synergy.Decline in trunk control ability after strock is the main reason that affect the patients to maintain the establishment of proper movement patterns,independent walking ability and daily living skills.Despite the key position of the recovery of trunk functions in stroke rehabilitatio,currently traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine emphasize the rehabilitation of limb functions of the patients.For example, acupuncture point selection for stroke with hemiplegia mainly base on the principle of limb points instead of the back-shu point in the trunk,that is ignore the points of the main trunk.Western medicine treatments of stroke rehabilitation emphasize the rehabilitation of limb functions,ignore the role of the trunk.These limited,nonsystematic concepts of rehabilitation therapy make it difficult on the rehabilitation of some stroke patients,especially those with obvious spasm,and the rehabilitation result often fail to achieve the target.This investigation probe into the influence to the recovery of stroke patients' motor function with acupuncture on back-shu point,with training on trunk,with combination of acupuncture on back-shu point and trunk training, and compare the impact of the combination of both manners with simple back-shu point acupuncture to the recovery of stroke patients' motor function.Objective:To prove that acupuncture on back-shu point combined with trunk training treatment significantly improved the motor function of stroke patients,and evidently better than simple acupuncture treatment on back-shu point.Study Methods:120 stroke patients were randomly divided into conventional recovery treatment group(control group),trunk training group,back-shu point acupuncture group and combination of back-shu point acupuncture and trunk training group,each group contain 30 patients.Separately treat with conventional treatment,trunk training,simple acupuncture treatment and back-shu point acupuncture combine with trunk training.Respectively analyse Fugl-Meye score(FMA) of motor function,Barthel index score(MBI) of improvement of activities of daily living abilities pre-treatment and two months after the treatments.Use the SPSS11.5 statistical software to analyse the determinated data.Results:The four kinds of rehabilitation treatment all have significant effect in improving the motor function of stroke patients(P＜0.05);Based on the conventional treatment,plus trunk training,back-shu point acupuncture or combination of acupuncture and trunk training,the curative effect is obviously superior to simply conventional therapy(P＜0.05);There was no significant difference between the effect of trunk training and acupuncture treatment of back-shu point(P＞0.05);and the effect of traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of back-shu point acupuncture combined with trunk training was superior to that of back-shu point acupuncture treatment (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combination of back-shu point acupuncture with trunk training treatment significantly improved the motor function of stroke patients,and obviously better than simply back-shu point acupuncture on trunk treatment,it provide an effective new method of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine to the stroke rehabilitation.
