Association Of Endothelin With Psychic Factors And Clinical Severity In Qinghai Province

Objective: To study the anxiety, depression, mental factors in the occurrence anddevelopment of psoriasis and detect the endothelin in plasma of psoriatic patients,aiming to study the correlative relationship between mental factors and psoriais，thecorrelation between the severity of psoriatic patients and ehdothelin in QinghaiProvince, reveal the psychoneurology pathogenesis of psoriasis and the characteristicsof psoriasis in Qinghai Province, so as to provide theoretical basis for the treatment ofpatients with psoriasis in Qinghai Province.Methods:40psoriatic patients and40normal controls were collected inDermatology Department of Affiliated hospital of Qinghai University from January2013to June2013. The psychic factors were studied with self-assess anxietyscale(SAS), self-assess depression scale(SDS)and Symptom self-assessmentscale(SCL-90).To investigate the emotional state and mental health level and studythe Psoriasis Area And Severity Index(PASI)，and to detect values of endothelin.Results:1.There was significant difference between psoriatic patients and normalControls for the severity degree of anxiety and depression(P<0.01).2.The factors were valued significantly difference between psoriatic patients andnormal controls in the factors of SCL-90(P<0．01).3. The mean values for endothelin were39.57±8.80pg/ml，which revealed that therewas a higher concentration of endothelin in psoriatic patients than normal controlswith19.64±6.88pg/ml for endothelin(P<0.01).4. There was no significant correlation between endothelin and Psoriasis Area andSeverity Index(PASI),the correlation coefficient R value was0.124, P>0.05.Conclusion:1.There was affinity relationship among anxiety, depression,psychic factors may be the important mechanism in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.2. Endothelin in the plasma of psoriatic patients was significantly higher than normal controls; it was indicated that endothelin were middle-pathogenesis in the course thatpsychic factor cause psoriasis．3. The endothelin levels of plasma can not reflect as a sensitive indicator of activityfor psoriasis.
