Dormancy Mechanism And The Lifting Method Of Sericea Potentilla Reptans Seed

The seed dormancy mechanism and breaking methods of Sericea Potentilla Reptans were studied based on the development law, morphological characteristics, physiological characteristics, setting rate.and different treatment (with hot-water, concentrated sulfuric acid, GA, low temperature stratification). The main results were as follows:1. The fructescence of Sericea Potentilla Reptans was in three times of June, August and October. The accumulation of plant nutrients and late development of seed were affected by the nutrients, moisture and temperature.2. The seed of Sericea Potentilla Reptans was ovate,dark brown, had ridge line and reticular pattern. The length of seed was 1.57 mm, and the width was 1.31 mm. The seed was small and weight of thousand seeds was 0.67g on average.3. The percentage of viable embryos of Sericea Potentilla Reptans seed was 77.3%, nonviable percentage was 9.3%, empty percentage was 10%, hypoplasia percentage was 3.3%. The test which seed was treated with water or methanol showed that seed germination inhibitor did not exist.4. Reasonable fertilization could effectively improve the seed setting rate of Sericea Potentilla Reptans. The best fertilizer ratio of N, P, K was 2:2:3 when the setting rate was 13.54 颗/个/M2,which was 28 times higher than the contrast.5. The seeds of Sericea Potentilla Reptans were treated with different fators. The results showed that 49% sulfuric acid treatment for 4h was best to restraint mechanical properties, increase germination rate and speed.The seed germination rate, germination potential and germination index reached 54.00%,48.67%, 0.92.40℃ hot-water treatment could effectively soften the episperm and promote the seed germination. The seed germination rate, germination potential and germination index reached 39.33%,24.00%,0.34. Low temperature stratification treatment for 30 days could effectively break the dormancy and promote the physiological ripening. The seed germination rate, germination potential and germination index reached 51.33%,14.67%,0.35.6 The seed dormancy type of Sericea Potentilla Reptans was a comprehensive dormancy, which caused by exogenous dormancy of seed coa restrict and endogenous physiological dormancy that after ripening unfinished.
