The rapid development of information technology greatly promoted the social progress andeconomic development. Information technology has been widely applied in the whole process ofagricultural production’ promoting the development of agirculture informatization andagriculture industrialization. Agricultural informatization and agircultural industrialization aretwo important indexes to measure the degree of agricultural modernization,of which thematching degree relfects the level of agircultural modernization of one certain area.This paper regards17cities in Shandong province in2012as research objects, studying thedegree of matching between agricultural informatization and agricultural industrialization. Firstof all, based on the theory of industrialization of agircultural country, this paper discusses therelationship between agricultural informatization, agirculture industiralization and agriculturalindustiralization, and then, on the basis of the reality of Shandong province and existingliteratures respectively constructing evaluation index system of agricultural information andagricultural industiralization, and evaluation and then ranking respectively. In the last, we rangethe degree of matching of agricultural informatization and agricultural industrialization into ifvekinds and analysis every kind of it in detail.This paper draws the following conclusions^1) The degree of agricultural informatizationand agricultural industiralization in Weifang, Qingdao and Jining is generally high;(2) Thedegree of agircultural informatization and agricultural industrialization in T’aian, Zaozhuang andBinzhou is in the medium;(3) The degree of agricultural Informatization and agriculturalindustiralization in Rizhao and Laiwu is generally low;(4) The degree of agriculturalinformatization in Jinan, Weihai, Zibo, Dongying is high. On the contrary, the level ofagricultural industrialization is low;(5) The degree of agircultural informatization in Linyi,Dezhou, Yantai, Liaocheng and Heze is low but with the high level of agriculturalindustrialization.This paper then comes up with some policy proposals according to the empirical results.(l)For the phenomenon that Jinan, Weihai, Zibo and Dongying has the relative higher degree ofagricultural informatization but the low degree of agricultural industrialization, it is wrong toabandon the development of agirculture because of the development of industry. Traditionalindustry-development-first strategy at the background of dual economy has caused unfairdistirbution of income and inequality of wage. Only by applying industrialization productionmethods into agricultural production,can we improve the competence of agriculture and alsoimprove the income of farmers and decrease income disparity.(2) For the phenomenon thatRizhao and Laiwu has the low level of agricultural Information and industiralization,agirculture should be think as highly of as industry. According to the industiralization of agricultural countrytheory, the development of agirculture should be in coincide with industry, and the agriculturecan be changed into a comparative advantage industry only when industiralization productionmethods are applied into agriculture production.(3) For the low level of agricultural informationand the high level of agricultural industiralization in Linyi, Dezhou, Yantai, Liaocheng, Heze,weshould increase investment in agricultural information infrastructure, otherwise, we should makeefforts to improve the percent of the ownership of computer,telephone and color television inhouseholds and pay attention to prove the quality of the person that agricultural informationinvolved. Last but not least, we should try to increase the number of rural information officer,and increase training for rural information officer.
