From the connotation of project management, this paper describs the domestic and international background and development trend of project management. Combined with the characteristics of the industry, this paper conducts the thorough research on the schedule control and cost control in project management.XY railway swivel bridge project was to meet the needs of the rapid development of the national economy. It was conducted under the background of the railway ministry decided to speed up XY railway again. SW limited company relyed on their own patented technology, researched the bridge design, construction, monitoring and cross the railway line, formed a set of economical and reasonable design drawings, and summarized a set of safe construction method. SW limited company established a set of scientific, complete rotation construction process control technology. In the process of construction, overcame the technical problems such as installation precision control of large diameter turntable, large span steel cantilever swivel construction.The project of this paper had the characteristics such as difficult construction, advanced construction technology, construction time is long, the construction environment is bad etc.. First of all, from the beginning of the project background, and various departments respon-sibility to carry on the design of project structure analysis.This paper mainly conducts the research from the schedule control and cost control. In the schedule control, PDCA circulation method was introduced. It states four steps of schedule plan management such as formation, statistics, check and correction. Combined with the engineering example, this paper introduces how to compared to the actual progress and planned progress with the forward line, and how to optimize the project period through the network diagram. In cost control, it describes the investment control method by examples of time-cost accumulative curve. This paper introduces the matching cost and schedule of the construction process through the earned value method. Finally the article introduces the application of the cost factor analysis method, and the management measures in the process of the cost control and schedule control.This paper aims to deeply study the success of the project management case, have some reference for future similar project management role.
