With the rapid development of railway construction in our country, the train speed increasing, the vehicle running safety issues become more prominent. Locomotive wheel is an important factor affecting train safety exercise, wheel condition is directly related to the safe operation of the train, in a timely manner to its abrasion test in order to ensure driving safety is particularly important.At present, the measurement of the wheel geometry shape parameters of basic divided into static test and dynamic test method.Static testing is often done in vehicle maintenance regularly, and need to uninstall the wheel, so it takes long time and low efficiency. Dynamic detection sensor for all wheels are mounted, the cost is very high. In this paper, aiming at the problems above test, put forward and developed the Portable Laser Wheel Profilometer. This instrument adopts a three-dimensional laser displacement sensor based on triangulation method, greatly improving the measurement precision and reduce the cost; Uses bluetooth communication technology, measuring mechanism and field data processing unit, write the Android version of the real-time data processing software, Android phones as measurement data field processing display terminal, can be applied to any wheel position measurements, beyond tolerance automatic alarm, measuring profile visualization compared with the standard profile, automatic storage measurement results, reduce the labor intensity and the difficulty of reading, to improve the measurement accuracy, real-time and work efficiency. Wrote a special measuring instrument of computer software, and realized the measuring instrument in the field data processing unit data to a computer for analysis and processing, storage, print test reports, and other functions. Suitable for railway, subway and light rail contour detection, maintenance and maintenance work for rail transit vehicle safety planning to provide accurate information effectively.In addition, the measuring instrument for the error analysis, developed the Portable Laser Wheel Profilometer to meet the contract requirements, to achieve the small batch production.
