In this paper the communication technology of tramcar is researched with the example of Suzhou tramcar line 1. The Suzhou tramcar line 1 is the first inland modern tramcar project approved by NDRC and has important researching significance in rail transit field. It also provides the innovation practice for the construction mode of the following other tramcarsFirstly the communication technology widely used in underground, highway, BRT and some traditional rail transit such as service carrying ability, the internet expansion ability, technique standard maturity, etc of SDH, PCM and some techniques are compared and researched. The conclusion is that the application construction mode is not suitable for tramcar ’s application scenarios. Then the technology principle, networking model, protection mode, and priority dispatching, etc in GPON are researched. And that the GPON equipped with mature technology standard, great capability of priority dispatching and high security is demonstrated. The hand-in-hand protection technology further completes network deployment of GPON protection, solves the problem that the traditional tree network is unfit for rail transit communication, and sharply raises the application level. Based on the research above, the specific tramcar backbone communication networking scheme is finally designed and the innovative design based on the network is presented in this paper.The main work and innovation in this paper:1、The implementation principle and networking model of GPON is researched, The transmit technology of GPON such as automatic learning of MAC address, the establishment of transmit table, the packaging of data frames, the characteristic of QoS, the protection characteristic, etc is also studied. Based on this, the design and analysis of requirement survey of Suzhou tramcar line 1 backbone communication networking should be completed.2、The technology of GPON and tramcar business is innovatively fused. The backbone communication network required by Suzhou tramcar line 1 is constructed, the topology selection of which is researched. Connecting GPON to layer network and innovatively applying hand-in hand protection technology of GPON to tramcar communication network protection provide the tramcar with more reliable and secure regular operation service. Finally the construction scheme of Suzhou tramcar line 1 backbone communication network is verified and deployed. The results should be tested, analyzed and organized.3、 The fusion of communication system like switching, transmitting, connecting, clocking, etc in tramcar communication is firstly made in this paper. The end-to-end adopts IP technology to transmit, and the overall consideration in dispatching and protection is given. Effectively fusing the tramcar dedicated system and alarming system makes the system integrated with dispatching, operating, and monitoring by using unified webmaster. As for the users, the cost of constructing network decreases a lot and the maintenance is convenient. This is another innovative communication technology successful application distinguishing from the traditional rain transmit private network field.The testing data delivered by Suzhou tramcar line 1 network is researched and analyzed in this paper. The communication signal of GPON of the connecting capacity, handling capacity, delay, etc is tested and throughout test runs in four designing difficulties as speech communication, QoS dispatching ability. Hand-in-hand protection switching and wireless base station switching. The results show that GPON access way can be provided for customers by constructing tramcar communication network according to the paper. While end-to end large capacity IP “pipe” is offered, the wholesome hand-in-hand protection and 8 degree Qo S dispatching ability is also given. This elevates the reliability and security of the whole system. At the same platform all backbone communication network equipment can be managed and dispatched by unified management and unified operation. It’s not necessary to send business by orders with simple configuration, end-to-end business connection, figure configuration. The tramcar backbone communication network construction in this paper has lower cost for customers, increasing degree of equipment integration, increasing utilization of bandwidth resource, guarantee for customer ’s access bandwidth and convenient maintenance. This is another innovative communication technology successful application distinguishing from the traditional rain transmit private network field.
