Railway station capacity is the comprehensive representation of whole operation of the station equipments. In order to adapt to the development trend of high-speed railway passenger transport which is high-speed、high-frequeney andmass transit type, reasonable organization of transport production and effective allocation of station equipment and understanding the condition of transportation activities, it is essential for us to examination and determination for the capacity of high-speed railway station.. We analyze the date of occupying proccess of each equipment. From every switch group and track’s ability, we can summarize the ability of the whole station. Finally using a high-speed railway station which is located in the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Rail as an example, to verity the method presented in the paper is scientific and efficient.In the aspect of date collecting, this paper makes some improvement to the traditional method, using the station’s or the dispatch center’s microcomputer interlock system as the data source. Designed "throat switch group and track data table" as a carrier of the original information, ensure the integrity of the station every technical process record.In the aspect of calculation method, this paper puts forward to a method to calculate station equipment’s capacity called " equipment analysis inserting time method " according to the characteristics of the transportation activities of high-speed railway station operation. The method using the data in the "throat switch group and track data table "to get each equipment’s occupying process data. By using these data, we can making sure every type of train’s effective inserting time, then executing the process of inserting and adjusting the inserting results by a linear programming model. Finally we can get the station’s ability by summarize the throat switch group’s ability and each track’s ability.This paper presents the interval estimation method. Considering the random and uneven of station’s transportation activities, using a section instead of a definitive values to representation station’s ability is more scientific.This paper introduces the indicator analysis and metrics of uneven degrees in economics, analyzing the disequilibrium degree of the equipment operation at different times of the day, comparing the equipment on the analysis of the unbalanced degree of change before and after the interpolation process, and proving the feasibility and rationality of equipment analysis interpolation method. Eventually, using uneven analyses to reflect the unbalance of the entire station operating organization, which may provide references on optimize the organizational work of the station and improve efficiency.The architecture design of the "capacity calculation information system for high-speed railway station" includes system target, operation process, system module structure, system function design, system interface and menu design, etc.
