Nitrogen spring has advantageous function and extensively applied in automobilemold and electronic products etc among foreign countries. But there are a small ofmanufacturers in our country and the performance of our nitrogen spring is far below theforeign. To narrow the gap between domestic and abroad, this paper mainly based on thenitrogen gas spring of a foreign company and included as following aspects:1. Under the given design requirements such as temperature and pressure and otherrequirement, calculate the intensity and designed the structure of the main component suchas the cylinder tube, the cylinder bottom and the piston rod. The evaluate of the intensitydesign is based on the Von-Mises yield criterion.2. The paper analyzed the dynamic and the static sealing structure; analyzed thediameter of the O mold gasket ring; analyzed the relationship between the pressure andvarious parameters such as slip ring thickness and the seal clearance. Those analyses arebased on the two rules, the first is use the contact stress to judge whether the seal functionis qualified, the second is use the Von-Mises yield criterion to judge whether the materialintensity is qualified. Use the finite element to calculate the contact stress when there aredifferent shapes on the ring groove and get the result that when the ring groove isrectangle, the contact stress is the best.3. Under dry friction and fully lubricate, simulate the change of friction heat on theslip ring and the cylinder tube and obtain the maximum temperature inside of the nitrogenspring when the kinematic velocity is different and the velocity of movement is allowed. This paper can well to complete the structure design of some key parts of nitrogengas spring and complete structure design of static and dynamic sealing through the finiteelement analysis, the nitrogen spring temperature and the sealing performance is analyzedand I hope to provide some references for the perfect of the function of the nitrogen springin our country.
