From the perspective of communication，the essence of archives informationservice is the communication. Archives utilization， compilation， publishing，propaganda are all the forms of information communication. The mass media is themost important information systems in modern society，it almost affects everyone in anytime at anywhere. Relying on mass media to carry out the archives information service，mass media as service tool and means，through reasonable media strategies couldeffectively achieve the socialization of archives information communication.This paper combined with the actual conditions of our public archives of archivesinformation service，based on the analysis，conclusion and reference of archival scienceand communication theory， expounded the related concepts of mass mediacommunication of archives information service，illustrated the important roles，necessities and feasibilities of mass media in service，constructed the mode of servicesthrough mass media，discussed the main problems and reasons presented in archivesinformation service，finally，studied the countermeasures of how to fully and effectivelyproviding required archives information mass media service for the society in order tofully achieve the exchange and sharing purpose of archives information.
