Image is a generic term for all images and graphic, it is the most common information carrier in the human activities, it is an important means of human to acquired external information. Image transmission and processing is an important part of information technology, there are various fields of security, transportation, industrial, medical, military reconnaissance has more widely application. Using high-resolution, high frame rate, high sensitivity cameras acquisite image in several different directions will inevitably bring the problem of high bandwidth, large image data storage capacity of the transmission of the image data, real-time image processing and high-speed transmission technology become the key to solving the problem.The paper combined with the CMOS image sensor technology, image denoising technology, SOPC image capture technology, Gigabit Ethernet TCP/IP protocol transmission technology, research Gigabit Ethernet CMOS sensor image acquisition and transmission system based on SOPC, the main contents as follows:(1) described related domestic and foreign research status and development of CMOS image sensor technology, FPGA image capture technology and TCP/IP protocol transmission technology, to analyze the problems of image acquisition and transmission.(2) described the pixel structure and CMOS image sensor array structure, analysis of the function structure and working principle of CMOS image sensor, describes image acquisition working principle, describes the general characteristics of CMOS image sensor OV7670chip.(3) assessed the image noise and image quality, descripted the basic idea of wavelet thresholding denoising method and Contourlet transform thresholding denoising method, selected criteria512×512Lena, Boat and House image as experimental images, analyze and compare the experimental results under various thresholding algorithm in the noise variance σ=30Gaussian white noise conditions.(4) The TCP/IP grassroots hardware connections and communication protocol, descripted Gigabit Ethernet data link layer IXF1002and physical layer chip BCM5461S, design image acquisition system IP cores, including I2C control module, SDRAM modules and display control module, final analysis the results of simulation test system.
