Television series is a form of television programs, through which acomprehensive text, images, sounds directly to meet the audience audio-visual desire.The content of television series comes from life, but higher than life. As a form of art,television series has ideology dissemination efficiency. As an great television seriesoutput country, america conveying its values and ideology to the world.China and America have different context. According to the Edward T. Hallˊs《Beyond culture》,china belongs to the high context state and america belongs to lowcontext state. The different context directly led to the two kinds of culturalbackground people having obstacles in communication. American television serieswhich bearing of life and values can pass through the context barriers andsuccessfully spread in china, and sought after by people. This phenomenon is worthyof further study.The production cost greatly, which ensures the production level is very high.American television series have a unique mechanism in the broadcast. Moreover,sustained weekly episodes can attract the audience attention and adjust the feedback.Because of the disappointment of chinese television series, audience put their eyes onthe production of american sophisticated drama. The success of cross-culturalcommunication in addition to their own subjective factors and the objectiveenvironment, largely related with chinese network. Internet is an open platform. It isvery convenient for resource acquisition. American television series did not getchecked when they propagate through the internet, which basically maintained theoriginal. It can meet the audiences demand to a great extent.This paper taking 《The Big Bang Theory》 as an example analyze the crossculture communication in china.《The Big Bang Theory》 is a typical representativeof american television series, by the end of March12014the click rate of this playhas reached to1.253billion which is popular in china. This article mainly carries onthe analysis from the following three aspects. The first part is the analysis of the status of the cross cultural communication. This part mainly analyze the spreading processof production mechanism and the type of drama and drama in the Chinese. Thesecond part is the level of environmental impact of 《The Big Bang Theory》. Thethird part is analysis of the causes of high context communication of 《The Big BangTheory》implementation. First analysis of the Big Bang spread the advantage ofobjective.
